More Detail On The First Day

I am still adjusting to the public forum, hardly public when i don't expect more than a couple of intimates to keep track of me.
Keep it simple. I live in a large mid century house. it lies across from the William Smith& Hobart College campus, which is mostly lawns and beautiful tall stone buildings. I would talk bout design, whether they are gothic or art deco or modernistic, but i am sadly informed on architecture (a word i cannot spell). The house is not lonely. there are too many of us to feel that way, but tonight it does seem that, in the absence of any single particular craving, perhaps an incling  for yoga, though it is far too late.

I sat down today with my Grad student, who gave me quite the talk today. It is really strange to be hired on for a project like this. You are caught between listening as carefully as possible and maintaining the appearance of understanding when what you really want to do is curl up and take a nap. Of course, how could one ever tell anyone that...." ummm, Amara?"
"yes Bourcard?"
"i really do want to know about genetic variations and testing methods for Phytophthera capsici, but i am really tired. I mean it is three o'clock, and i don't... i mean... i can't stress enough how BADLY i want to know this stuff, but i am really just in the mood for a nap... you know? not really tired just feelin' lazy."

I could never say that....ever
but such is the way i felt.
Tomorrow i am off to a field day where we explore different problems in plant pathology throughout the region.
